Description

This is an exciting time to join our client, they are growing the development division of the T&D team by

recruiting for a further Sales Development Trainer. The purpose of the role is to support the new

sales enablement initiatives aimed at sales managers and their teams who sell and support multi

service, multi products throughout the UK.

We're looking for a creative individual that can design and deliver effective motivational sales

training that increases skill levels. This opportunity will be approx. split, 70% in development

training, supporting creation and delivery with the other 30% of time spent merging and delivering

development content into the onboarding programme for new starters, with the end goal of

creating a fully levelled Sales Academy for all new and existing staff.

They are a fast paced, complex product organisation and this hands-on role will ultimately help drive

the strategic development and execution of their core strategy aimed at helping attain new

business and maintain the existing portfolio of customers. Once up and running our client knows that

concentration to create is key so there is scope to work from home when required to simply, get

stuff done!

Requirements

Essential Skill Requirements:

  • 5 years + experience as a Sales Trainer / Coach or Sales Manager
  • Have knowledge and experience in creating and delivering high standard sales methodologies such as Value and Spin
  • Able to work in a fast paced and complex organisation
  • When required, able to deliver, feedback and document effective coaching sessions

Desirable Skills

  • A background in digital media; estate agency; advertising

Personal Attributes

  • Minimum intermediate IT skills in Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Strong presentation, written & oral communication skills
  • Inter-personal skills to enable working with people at all levels. Must be credible and comfortable dealing with and presenting to large groups of people
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and control group situations with confidence and ease, with ability to actively participate and contribute to meetings
  • Time management & planning skills that allow you to manage your own time effectively and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to be adaptable & flexible in a fast-moving results-orientated environment
  • Be self-motivated and proactive - with the ability to work on your own initiative and offer new ideas
  • Be results and goal orientated
  • Personal commitment to improving one's own knowledge and sharing best practice with colleagues
  • Flexibility for overnight stays / travel when required / full driving licence (desirable)
  • Willingness to roll sleeves up and help with tasks outside of remit
